My name is Robert Dawson.
This is my submission to the MBA program.
I decided for an Innovative MBA program application that I would truly do something innovative and not use a static submission but an overall interactive experience as to why I should be accepted into your program.
Businesses are constantly changing these days and those who do not adapt, do not survive. By not attempting to submit something unique for your overview I risk the same fate. Thus this website.
Think of this as an interactive version of the written proposal you may or may not have read so far. This website should give you a better visual of why I deserve to be in the Innovative Management MBA program at UPEI. I will try not to repeat information you would have already reviewed.
Who Is Robert Dawson
I was born in North River and have lived on PEI for the majority of my life. I graduated from UPEI with a BBA and I’m presently running my own company, Top Search Result (see Entrepreneurship) and working for my family’s businesses H.I. Construction, EastEverGreen Energy, and DTR Environmental services (see Work Experience).
I am very fortunate to be able to work with my father Barry and half-brother Scott, learning from their entrepreneurial abilities while still being able to pursue my own endeavors.
Why I Want An MBA From UPEI
There are many reason that I want to get my MBA degree specifically from UPEI. For starters, I want to continue on with the excellent education I have received already from UPEI. Also by staying on PEI when continuing my education will make it easier for me to work with my family and manage my small real estate holding.
The reason I want to get my MBA in the general sense is that I want to keep my options open. Specifically I want to work at something I can be successful at and enjoy. An MBA safeguards a happy working career by giving me flexibility.
I feel an MBA will help my own entrepreneurial aspirations as well as help me assist the businesses that my family already runs. If I end up working for my own company or with my family’s, I feel that an Innovative MBA degree will help me manage, succeed, and owe all my success to the Island made system.
